The sun shone and friends met for an unofficial rally at Sunshine Valley RV Resort September 24 – 26 weekend 2021
Some of us arrived a few days early and socialized at Rick & Elise’s site. The Blue Jay fans among us were very happy when Rick set up his TV outside admission was free.
The evenings were cool but that didn’t stop the hardy campers from having a gathering around the camp fire. A big thank you to those who donated wood and our man of fire Jeff Martin for starting and keeping the fire going.
It was great to chat & catch up with everyone. So much has happened in the world (Covid-19) that to sit and chat was awesome. Seeing familiar faces and meeting new people is part of what makes RVOABC such a successful group. We cannot forget the leadership of Barrie Clark coming up to the plate with the famous Bean Bag Baseball. As I did not participate in the game, I will say that both teams played an exciting game.
As with all good events, Sunday was the day for some of us to say goodbye & go home. In all, there were 18 rigs with 3 no-shows making a really good turnout.
I am looking forward to next year of Official or Unofficial Rallies, let’s get together for fun & friendships. As with all clubs, new members are always welcome so let’s get our friends, family members to join, they will thank you for it.
